Walking the terraces
Remove shoes in designated areas. Morning light is best for photos and cooler temperatures on the white calcite.
Travertine terraces
Walk barefoot in designated pools — carry a bag for shoes. Best light late afternoon. Combine with Hierapolis Roman theatre above. Stay overnight in Pamukkale town or nearby Denizli.
Getting there
Fly to Denizli Çardak (DNZ) from Istanbul. Day trip possible from Kusadasi/Selcuk but rushed — pair with Ephesus on /packages/istanbul-ephesus-pamukkale.
Cleopatra Pool optional
Thermal swim among ancient columns — extra ticket. Busy midday; go early or after 16:00. Swimsuit and towel required.
